Minneriya National Park is internationally renowned for “The Gathering”—one of the world’s largest seasonal concentrations of wild Asian elephants.

During the dry season, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Reservoir, creating one of Sri Lanka’s most extraordinary wildlife spectacles.

Beyond elephants, the park is also home to deer, monkeys, crocodiles, birds, and a rich diversity of ecosystems.
